Win a bike!
Bike Month takes place in June! If you have been enjoying more cycling over the last few months, planning to start cycling when you return to work, or already a keen cyclist – read on…
You can win one of TWO brand-new bikes, one of FOUR £500 donations to your local Bikes for Key Workers/Coronavirus Community Support initiative or one of THIRTY Love to Ride t-shirts.
All you have to do is register on the Skypark ‘Love To Ride‘ group and set yourself a goal for how much riding you want to enjoy in June, and log your journeys – simple as that! Friends, family and colleagues can join in – CLICK HERE for more info, and the link HERE to register.
By registering on Love to Ride Cycling Score, you can log each of your commuter rides on the website or using an integrated app, such as the Love to Ride app, Strava, and MapMyRide.
Skypark is a Cycling Score Certified building, which means you can expect the onsite facilities and services to continually improve for you and your colleagues. Our new indoor cycle store is currently being built (completed once construction is back up and running), and will be complete with 250 bike racks, lockers, showers, changing area and bike maintenance and drying area.
Volunteers wanted… can you help?
The Pyramid at Anderston, our local community hub, is running a weekly pop up for primary aged children in our local community. Starting on Thursday 28th May for an initial 10 weeks, children will be able to come along and pick up a free themed activity pack and goody bag of fruit and snacks. There’ll be a library for them to choose larger toys, games and jigsaws from Thursday 4th June.
If you can spare a few hours on Thursdays between 9.30am – 4pm, they’d love to hear from you, whether you could help out for an hour or two, or the whole session. They need volunteers to help to manage queues, hand out packs and guide people in the building, as well as deliver packs to families in the area that are self-isolating and unable to come along. They have masks, gloves and sanitiser available for volunteers.
If you’d like to sign up, want further info or have any questions, please email ailsa@thepyramid.scot
