Skypark is home to over 33 businesses and almost 3,000 staff working on site - including students and faculty from the Glasgow School of Art. We are a short walk from the City Centre, the West End, the City Centre, and notably Kelvingrove Park and Art Gallery.
Our site visitors come from all parts of the UK, and to provide them with a hint of the exciting art scene flourishing around us, we are delighted to welcome exhibition proposals from existing and emerging artists, photographers and designers.
Proposals:
We are looking for original artworks, photography and textiles. At this time, sculpture is not being accepted. All textile artworks should be framed to ensure security.
All artists interested in submitting should email clear photographs (minimum 5) of their work including a one page CV/artists statement to: Camille@skypark-glasgow.com
Display:
Artworks will be shown in Skypark reception for the duration of 2months
Artists must provide proof of insurance for their work.
The main wall in reception is fitted with a picture rail to allow for flexible hanging. Artists are not permitted to damage reception walls in any way.
Wall dimension: 13 ft H x 40 ft L. There are also 3 subsequent recessed areas for artworks on the same wall measuring 149cm W x 58cm L each.
A supply of one page artists statements shall provide contact details and prices so that exhibition visitors interested in purchasing are able to contact artists direct.
All work will be hung by the artist 8 am - 9pm prior to the show opening. For insurance reasons Skypark will not be able to provide ladders or any other equipment.
Promotions:
Exhibiting artists will be cited on the Skypark website: www.skypark-glasgow.com, as well as Facebook and Twitter.
Artists must provide at least one image to be used in the promotion of their work through Skypark websites and social networking.
All artists will be encouraged to host an exhibition launch on an evening of their choice, between 4pm -10pm.
